Multimedia Development
Learn to plan, produce, and deliver high-impact academic multimedia for teaching and learning at scale.
About This Course
This training introduces the core processes and best practices for planning, designing, producing, and managing academic multimedia assets. Drawing on Arizona State University’s approach to high-quality, scalable media, participants explore how multimedia strengthens instructor presence, fosters student engagement, and supports equitable learning at scale.
The course covers both strategic and practical aspects: how to design media that aligns with learning objectives, how to prepare and support instructors in recording sessions, and how to manage studio operations effectively. Rather than focusing on advanced technical editing, this course emphasizes strategy, collaboration, accessibility, and sustainability. It is designed for multimedia developers, instructional designers, and faculty who want to enhance learning with impactful media that can be scaled across institutions. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to plan, produce, and deliver multimedia that improves clarity, accessibility, and learner success.
