This course aims to introduce the concept of Individualized Educational Programs and Plans (IEPs), IEP team and IEP process; and roles and responsibilities of IEP team members.

This course aims to introduce the concept of Individualized Educational Programs and Plans (IEPs), IEP team and IEP process; and roles and responsibilities of IEP team members; as well as to provide practical instructions on how to design, implement, and monitor an IEP process.
Objectives
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
- Explain the concept of Individualized Educational Programs and Plans (IEPs) and the IEP process; describe the role and responsibilities of IEP team members; and develop skills on how to develop IEP.
- Demonstrate the ability to participate effectively as a team member and/or case manager for the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)/Individualized Educational Programs and Plans (IEPs) from pre-referral interventions and requisite assessment processes, through planning specially designed instructions to support access to the core curriculum.
- Design appropriate IFSP/IEP/transition planning goals based on standards and following all legal requirements of the IFSP/IEP/transition planning process.
