Multimedia System

Learn multimedia systems, data formats, color models, compression, and content-based retrieval for practical analysis and application.

Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

The course provides students with a foundation in multimedia concepts and technologies, starting with the definition and categories of multimedia and moving into data representation and system characteristics. Students will gain practical insights into how multimedia content is created, processed, compressed, and retrieved. The course balances theoretical foundations—such as color models and compression algorithms—with applied perspectives, such as challenges in system design and content-based retrieval. By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge to understand both the technical underpinnings and practical applications of multimedia systems.
