DDU-MIDWM2081-Obstetrics I
This module is designed for BSc midwifery students to help acquiring the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes to the basic concepts and events of human embryogenesis and basic care during pregnancy. The module includes preventive measures, supportive care, health message and counseling, and birth preparedness and complication readiness planning that enable Midwives to provide high quality culturally acceptable care during pregnancy. Under this module BSc midwifery students acquire concepts in mind, describe the sequence of developmental processes that occur in the human embryo. This Module will be addressed through Interactive lecture, Seminar presentations, Skill demonstration (SDL) and supervised feedbacks in simulated environment and real health care setup.
