This course provides an in-depth understanding of optimization techniques and their applications in chemical engineering. Students will learn to formulate and solve optimization problems related to process design, unit operations, and control. The course covers both traditional and advanced optimization methods, including linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic optimization, and heuristic approaches. Emphasis is placed on the practical application of these techniques using software tools such as SOLVER and MATHLAB,to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability.
