The course helps to understand how to apply the image processing techniques for various medical images. It gives the image fundamentals and mathematical transforms necessary for image processing, presents various image enhancement techniques, and   image restoration procedures in Medical images. It also provide the knowledge about the basic concepts of edge detection, segmentation techniques, image compression procedures and color image processing.   Furthermore, It enable the students to understand and employ Artificial Intelligence techniques on Medical Image processing trough their course projects.
